Question by jeri s: I have a1995 Honda Odessa had radiator & thermostat replaced but afer driving car won’t start?
If I drive to the store and back say 5 miles the car isn’t getting hot it just won’t start again when I try back at home . Someone told me that there is a chip or something that when the car overheats the first time it could have fried this mechinism so it won’t let the head get too hot. Does anyone know what this is, and how to fix it? Thank you so much! Everytime I use this someone helps me and its awesome so thanks again. The person who told me about this device or relay or chip thingy showed me a green plug looking thing near the top by the windshield, if that helps at all, sorry for not being able to be more informed. Hope you can help. It is a challenge question.

It could be something that has nothing to do with the vehicle overheating in the past. It could be a warning that the fuel pump is failing, or the fuel filter is clogged. The crankshaft sensor causes this kind of intermittent starting problems. Have somebody check the fuel pressure as it could be the fuel pressure regulator.
As off the green plug, I don’t know what you are talking about, but I can tell you this…sometimes when the vehicle overheats, a lot of coolant is sprayed over the engine and the ignition system gets wet. Humidity inside the distributor cup would prevent the car from starting. Check the Ignition system it may solve the problem.
Good luck!
