WHERE CAN WE GO ON VACATION?

WE LIVE IN WEST TEXAS (ODESSA/MIDLAND AREA) WE ARE PLANNING ON TAKING A 4 OR 5 DAY VACATION BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO? WE DON'T WANT TO SPEND A LOT, MAYBE AROUND $1500 . IT'S ME, MY HUSBAND AND MY 2 YR OLD BOY, WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

1. Corpus Christi area too far? Just asking.
2. You should go to Las Vegas or Bear Mountain.
3. San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. considered the most beautiful city in all of mexico. clink on the link to see some pics. bout 10 hours away from laredo driving.
4. go camping! go online and find a good campsite with lots of activities for kids. if you don't have gear, rent a cabin or borrow a friend's tent. i LOVE camping!! sorry i dont have other suggestions, i live in PA and could give u a bunch of ideas, but i dont think u'd wanna drive up here. hah.. hope i helped, have fun!!
5. Dallas, Albequerque, Phoenix maybe Mexico...like Cancun? We took my niece who's 3 to Cancun and she had a ball with the music and colors. It wasn't that expensive either. It cost us less than 1000 for the three of us.
6. My FAVORITE place in the world... Ruidoso, NM... Its about 5 hours from Odessa. You have mountains, lakes, cabins and fresh air. Its a great place to get away. Check it out. http://www.ruidoso.net/
7. Now is the time to vacation. There are a lot of great deals out there. Not just for the boring hotel room but great vacation homes and condos. If you want to stay in TX I would suggest Galveston or Corpus Christi. I have been in the vacation industry for years and those are the 2 best spots in TX.
